Karen was the first woman president of the Rotary Club of Collingwood and has hosted many exchange students from around the world. She has served on numerous boards and committees and earned the Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award as 'Volunteer of the Year 2002' making a difference both locally and globally. She is family oriented and a dedicated hockey mom. When she is taking some personal time it is not unusual to find her on the slopes or golfing.
